Frasier Knits Business Updates

I was away for some time, and some things changed for my business. Some things just don't work out in life, and that's okay!
NO MORE TECH EDITING
That's right! There are a few reasons why I decided to stop the tech editing side of my business. The two biggest reasons - interest and time.
I love knitting, I love helping people, and so tech editing felt like a natural step for me. As an entrepreneur, I'm always looking for ways to earn money that I can do on my own. I own a photography business, I design and sell knitting patterns, but I also have a part time job to help with the cost of living. With all this going on, I found that I didn't have enough time to fully dedicate myself to being a good tech editor.
In my time as a tech editor, I also found that I really didn't enjoy it as much as I thought I would. I also found that my attention to detail wasn't as sharp as I would have liked and that I struggled with a lot of things. I felt like I couldn't help people in the ways that I wanted to.
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR THE FUTURE?
I'm not going anywhere! Well, I know I was almost gone for a year. I didn't release any new patterns in 2025. In fact I don't even think I knit anything for myself. And I certainly didn't tend to this blog like I had hoped.
For 2026 I want to get back into the swing of things. I have two sock patterns I hope to release this year. I also have two garments I am working on and hope to release in 2027. I'll keep blogging about anything and everything knitting related.

CURRENT PROJECTS
I am working on an entrelac scrap yarn sweater. Yep - it's as crazy as it sounds. Every single square is a different color. To save my sanity, I stop after every round to go back to tie off and weave in all my ends. I sure wouldn't want to do it all at once later. I wanted to use up most of my yarn leftovers in this sweater, but I have so many leftovers I don't think it's making a dent in any of my scraps! Dare I make another one after this? No...no.....maybe?
